5 Minute Chocolate Cake

I got this off of my friend Michelle's blog... It looked perfect for those winter nights after the kids have gone to bed! So, we just tried it tonight and it was good, but not amazing...the texture was kind of spongy.

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

1 coffee mug
4 T. flour (plain not self-rising)
4 T. sugar
2 T. baking cocoa
1 egg
3 T. milk
3 T. oil
3 T. chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips and vanilla, and mix again. Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 min. on high. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. Now, why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because we are now only 5 min. away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night! Note: It has been recommended to me that if you swirl in some hot fudge before you cook it in the microwave it makes all the difference.
